Dance is a type of art that generally involves movement of the body, often rhythmic and music.
There are many styles and genres of dance. Ballet, ballroom and tango are classical dance styles. Square dance and electric slide are forms of step dance, and breakdancing is a type of street dance. African dance is interpretative. Dance can be social, or performed for an audience. It can also be ceremonial, competitive or erotic.

Ballet is a type of performance dance. Ballet requires years of training to learn and master, and much practice to retain proficiency. It has been taught in ballet schools around the world, that have historically used their own culture to evolve the art.

Break dancing is a type of dance that is done by people
who are part of the hip hop culture. A break dancer means someone who dances on
breaks (the break beats). Break dancing was invented in the early 1970s in
African-American and Puerto Rican communities in the South Bronx in New York
City. Break dancing uses different body movements, spins, arm movements, leg
movements, all of which are done to the rhythm of hip hop music.
Character dance- is a traditional folk or national dance. Character dances are usually performed in shoes or boots. Every country has its own dance style, technique and clothes.
In the popular show America’s Got Talent the winner of the 8th season was Kenichi Ebina. His solo act, labeled 'Dance-ish' by Ebina, features his unique self-taught style which combines acting, storytelling, and a number of different dance styles, including freestyle, hip-hop, mime, martial arts, jazz, and ethnic dance.
I love dancing. When I dance I feel happy and alive, I feel relaxed and can forget my problems. It takes me to another world, just me and the music.
